After qualifying as a teacher I have spent a number of years working with many learners with Special Educational Needs and Specific Learning Difficulties. I have experience teaching KS1-KS4 learners and adult learners in a private setting. I decided to train as a specialist SpLD teacher and assessor to provide a high quality, professional yet friendly service to both parents and education providers.
My approach to teaching, learning and assessing is holistic and student centred.
As a Dyslexia and Dyscalculia Specialist Assessor I assess and diagnose Dyslexia and Dyscalculia both in children and adults, as well as supporting dyslexic and dyscalculic learners through one-one tuition using multisensory teaching methods. I also conduct assessments for Access Arrangements and Disabled Student Allowance.
I receive referrals from primary and secondary schools, further and higher education establishments, work place referrals and private referrals.
